Biographies
Angela Beehler
Angela Beehler is Senior Director of Energy Regulation/Legislation for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and is responsible for the implementation of Wal-Mart’s strategic energy vision for over 4,100 U.S. facilities through regulatory proceedings, legislative discussions and working closely with government agencies, utilities, non-governmental organizations, among many others. Angela analyzes energy issues to influence corporate energy outcomes, leads Wal-Mart’s involvement in state and federal rate and regulatory proceedings, and promotes legislative activities as it relates to state and federal energy policy.
Angela was also appointed as a Project Manager for the Energy Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate Change Committee for Wal-Mart’s Sustainability Initiative. Angela also participates on the Demand Response Customer Coalition, serves on the executive leadership group for the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency and the Board of Directors for COMPETE and the University of Tulsa Law Alumni Board.
Lee Kindberg
Lee Kindberg is Director, Environment for Maersk Inc., the North American operations for AM Moller-Maersk. Her responsibilities include environmental policies and programs, compliance assurance, and support to safety and environmental management systems. She is active in the Clean Cargo Working Group, a global group dedicated to assessing and improving the environmental impact of shipping, and ensuring responsible corporate citizenship.
Lee joined Maersk Inc. from the Institute for Defense Analyses. She has an extensive background in the chemical industry, where she was Director of Government Relations & Environmental Science for the Hoechst Celanese (HCC) Fibers & Specialty Chemicals Groups. She has managed environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, medical and security for a major chemical manufacturing facility. She was active in national and state groups including ASTM, the Chemical Manufacturers Association, and the AIChE Center for Waste Reduction Technologies, and has served on the Boards of state chemical and industrial associations.
Chuck White
Mr. White is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer in California. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Michigan. Mr. White has over thirty-five years of professional experience in environmental engineering and pollution control in California. Prior to joining Waste Management, Mr. White held a variety of responsible positions in California state government, including assignments with the State Water Resources Control Board, Regional Water Quality Control Boards, the Department of Health Services, and the Department of Toxic Substances Control. Mr. White left government service in March 1990 to assume his current position as Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Western Area of Waste Management.
Judy Pike
Judy Pike is a dedicated individual who brings passion and determination to Bentley Prince Street’s movement towards sustainable commerce. As Director of Sustainability and Supply Management, Judy has developed a successful recycling program, helping to reduce the company’s waste to landfill by 95%. She has created and implemented a trash inspection program called Dumpster Diving at Bentley Prince Street’s facility, as well as, expanding this program to the local school system and local service organizations. Judy is responsible for all supply chain management functions including the company’s Greening the Supply Chain program.
Since 1996, Judy has been the driving force behind the company’s Sustainability program.. Her efforts in QUEST (Quality Utilizing Employees Suggestions and Teamwork) have resulted in honors and accolades, such as, the State of California’s Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP, seven time recipient) and the Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award, the state of California’s highest and most prestigious environmental award.
Judy is focused on creating a community within Bentley Prince Street that understands natural systems. She is instrumental in educating Bentley Prince Street’s associates and customers as well as integrating sustainability into the company’s corporate culture.
Wolfgang Wagener
Wolfgang Wagener is a director in the Cisco Connected Urban Development (CUD) program. He is a trusted advisor on improving the environmental and business performance of private and public sector organizations through urban design and development solutions. He focuses on developing solutions that deliver on the high potential of digital technology, while elevating the quality of the built environment and employing environmentally sustainable practice.
During his past years with Cisco, Wagener founded the Connected Real Estate Practice and served as Head of Planning, Design and Development of Europe, Middle East and Africa’s Real Estate and Workplace Resources.
